3° Uova 2° Piccoli (2010).
By now you understand, the voice of Ivo De Palma, and the many metamorphoses of the language of Stephen Lorefice.
Una extreme deconstruction which is then followed by a slow flowering and linearity marked by Budapest Swing Lovers and Experience In The Rain .
an airtight sharp and lonely time here Ivo makes it warm and rewritten in the subplot of the visual effect of liquid modernity of body fluids and subway, travel and signed by VjKar knobs, a journey of video art in a more suggestive rereading key staff is the setting for a narrative of 'slow reading' capable of making the search for a less tight lyrical point blank and with such impact captioned subtitles in English from the value aesthetic impact formatting and colorful domed well integrated within the framework of image.
curious experience they have the whole context: get to reading the next stop Nostalgiaplatz after reading the most recent writings, for me that I have followed this trend since the beginning of literature is like watching a Bolero on the contrary, what Ivo has traveled back and forth in a storm started by Cosmo Blues Hotel, arrived last The Day of the Hyena and jumped back in time.
What follows in this interview is an attempt to rediscover this unusual journey, backwards, maturity from the beginning.
INTERVIEW
1. Not only a new Lorefice, but also a jump in the past. You have fished these verses from his first collection of poems Nostalgiaplatz Next Stop. A brave choice to some extent, with the powerful, minimalist writing today less obvious. How did you come up with this idea?
writing minimalist Stefano has always intrigued me, because it is often made with very simple of speech, then I hear them, and I think everyone will feel very immediate. And 'certainly evident, from the author, the attempt (Successful), combining them in a non-trivial, and this provision shall be in a certain sense the added value, directed by Stefano on its fragments.
Then, I must say that this time an input is accidentally come on you too, when about the previous video you mentioned background music a bit 'cold. Because what I find its not that, but I have taken up the challenge, and "That love ...", instead opt for a rarefied background conventionally, which would certainly have made his figure, but a choice would have been a bit 'obvious I went to openly look for something electronic, so surely and unquestionably cool. And I must say that the experiment satisfies me, since the contrast between the background on the one hand, and voice on the other topics are covered, I think it puts much emphasis on the content.
2. Walked the reading of Stephen's a trip back before then Cosmo Blues Hotel de mature poems Experience In The Rain and The Day of the hyena. Back to Nostalgiaplatz is a 'journey of taking away'. That feeling gave you this debut made the search of minimalism between obscurity and pushed punctuation?
exactly the feelings that I just described, and that led me to this proposal. I find it odd that in this case relates to the art of removing most of the founder that developments mature, as in many other arts (drama surely) you learn to take, to grasp and convey the essential, a little 'more in later years (personal and artistic). But for this, as I got to tell you, I'm pretty curious about the next developments.
3. The fi effect, monopolies and metaphor of the journey. The video loop that is signed by spoken words Vj Kar, well known signature in your raids. How did the concept? It 's the video adapted to the text or the opposite?
Well, usually a video is always born from audio, which means they should never be considered the relative poor image, but rather the element that, coupled effectively to the images, it amplifies the effectiveness not arithmetically, but exponentially. I needed something that enhance the music rather than words. So that the ideas expressed, and the idea of love that it takes, they were placed in our reality a bit 'hectic, as one tends to lose the sense of many things, and from which the contact and the total complicity with those we love are assets to be defended at all. The video loops vj-kar was ideal.
4. A surplus this time. The English subtitles, nothing remained faithful to discuss the translation into Italian, but it is a curious choice, why?
From the perspective of the images are more graphic, dancing to the music along with everything else. Stephen has really appreciated that they were finding that in English, so to speak, "spreading the word beyond the sensitivity of Italian speakers. I liked the idea of giving a still more input, especially to those who know English. The translation is generally faithful but makes some different concepts, and then somehow enriches almost interactively, the text.
5. Sultry voice, smooth atmosphere. There is a sense in a style that tries to slow down the cut and sealed to make it more dense, true?
Basically yes. When Stephen himself in public law is much drier and essential. I work on his material in a somewhat 'different, as is right and that is understandable. Other thoughts on this topic during the raid earlier in the interview, which I refer .
6. Stefano Lorefice about love of, love on, this is an elective affinity now his writing and your voice. I had to choose, you've gutted it enough, what is the book that gave you the most?
very Rest linked to Cosmo Blues Hotel for two reasons. It 's the book that made me know (in a literary and personal) Stephen, and his is the first text that I proposed as spoken words, though at the time there was no YouTube, and then draws up an audio only version, Stefano then, later, released on youtube with a still image. Then, while still refining the technique and found in his latest work, "The day of the hyena, a worthy accomplishment, Cosmo Blues Hotel contains some" human types "really delicious, which is particularly appropriate to be chosen for a public reading , as indeed it was.
Stefano Lorefice ... again. There
spoken word and spoken word. The promo trailer from commercial and the art of reading.
This time is the size of a fully immersed in the fascinating drama of its setting.
Here, then, that after the book trailer for The Day Of The Hyena it's time to page through the voice. How did years ago for the reading of CosmoBlues Hotel, Ivo De Palma his voice tinged with a tone now dirty material, now whispered in one of its most successful performance in a combination with the prose of this author che ne rende uno stile di Ivo quasi inedito.

interview
1. And so you have found the pages of 'Hyena', in the light of your reading you know the basic steps that Stephen has traveled to get to this deconstruction of the novel, unconventional familiar with both the collection of short stories that his Cosmo Blues Hotel Experience the latest collection of poems The Rain that led to the synthesis of this new book. Give me your opinion on this its debut as a novelist to begin with ...
Well, the structure seems quite similar to that of Cosmo Blues Hotel, although here we a game resulting in a less immediate and more depth on the thickness of the characters. I would say that the steps you mentioned, going through the rigors of poetic meter, show a certain maturity of style. "Refining the technique," told me shortly after the release of the book, when we talked. Which portends further, certainly interesting, developments.
2. We come to your video. Matter of reading, you've got, years ago to read in a Arci Torino Stalcar the Cosmo Blues Hotel, now you find yourself in contact with another way to make plays. The tone of your voice into contact with this situation differs from the style that usually characterizes you. Choice of style? And how alla prosa?
Elogio dell’elettronica fredda and the neon lights ... tell me the setting of this' blue period '...
' s really strange that you have noticed coldness where I noticed some heat, slightly (but not too much) jazz. Certainly, the piece abounds in minor agreements, particularly melancholic and therefore suitable background to the last words of the monologue.
5. I mentioned the reading of the Arci CBH, there is news regarding the confirmation of a repetition of such an event to promote reading and Il Giorno Della Iena?
This is to ask Stephen. I suspect that at the time, was something much more simple and straightforward to set up a promotional tour.
